Dulcimer noters are used to fret the mountain dulcimer on the melody strings instead of using your fingers.  The advantage is that you can slide the noter over the frets very rapidly, enabling very fast playing.  Noters are also helpful for beginning dulcimer players who fret only the melody line.  Our noters are handmade woodturned rods, each with a unique decorative pattern on its end.  They are all made from very hard woods to stand up to years of playing.  Specific wood colors may be requested by emailing juneappledulcimers@gmail.com .
