This is an hourglass shaped dulcimer contoured in the Huntington, WV tradition. Our most popular model and known for well balanced treble and bass tones, this model has round soundholes and handcarved heart soundholes (as an add-on item) into a bookmatched top of Western red cedar. Matched black walnut sides are steam bent and seasoned. A thin decorative wooden strip is inlayed on the center seam of a perfectly bookmatched black walnut back.
This model may be custom ordered with any of these options:
- Hand-carved Heart sound-holes
- Solid cherry or black walnut body and top
- Any above listed solid wood body with Western red cedar top
